Satellite TV was Prophesied

Did you know that the Bible prophesied TV and Satellite communications for the last generation almost 2000 years before they were invented?

[NIV] REV 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." REV 11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands that stand before the Lord of the earth. REV 11:5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. REV 11:6 These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want. REV 11:7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. REV 11:8 Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. REV 11:9 For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. REV 11:10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. REV 11:11 But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. REV 11:12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

This prophecy actually falls into the Signs in the Sky category but it is so unique and detailed that I have separated it to highlight it. As you have read John got a very specific vision. He said that two men would be killed in the streets of Jerusalem, where the Lord was crucified, and their dead bodies would be seen lying in the streets by the whole world. Well how was that possible before this generation, before satellite TV. The Ayatollah Khomeini, gave us an example of this very event when he displayed the bodies of the dead marines that were killed trying to rescue the Embassy hostages in Iran. The Ayatollah broadcasted that scene via satellite for the whole world to see. So will the killer of these men, the Antichrist, display the bodies of the two witnesses. The Gulf War, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, Afghanistan and CNN nightly news are examples of men’s fascination with death and destruction on an everyday basis.

Think about this now. These two prophets will have their headquarters in Jerusalem, which will just happen to be the head quarters of the world dictator at that time whom the bible calls the Antichrist. God’s two prophets will be speaking against this man as often and as publicly as they can. They will be telling this dictator and his followers exactly how they are breaking God’s laws and foretelling his fate if he doesn’t repent. And to backup their commentary they will curse his kingdom with plagues at every opportunity.

For over three years he has been trying to kill them, but all the men he sent out against them were killed and now, suddenly, these two prophets are dead. The Antichrist is going to be positively ecstatic about this unexpected victory. He’ll probably throw a party as he beams the images of their dead bodies around the world. Probably saying, “See they are dead as I promised. This proves I am god.” This party will be short lived however because three days later they come back to life and rise into Heaven. Now the cameras that have been trained on them for three days wont miss the opportunity to follow their assent into the sky. And all their enemies will see them rise to Heaven. It will be a rapture that is beamed world wide via satellite. Something that wasn’t even invented until this last century.

Without satellite communications it would be imposable for the whole world to see these two bodies lying in the streets of Jerusalem. Every night we watch CNN broadcasts from around the world and quite often from the very streets of Jerusalem we are talking about here. But this was not possible when John wrote this almost 2000 years ago on the isle of Patmos in the Aegean Sea. This information proves that John was given a prophecy about the distant future of mankind. And since this is so accurate think of what this implies for the world and mankind when we read the rest of the events depicted in the book of Revelations. The accurate fulfillment of this prophecy also pinpoints this generation as the last generation before Christ returns.

Earthquakes will increase

[NKJ] MAT 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

Since the year 2000 Quakes are dramatically increasing in frequency.

In 2000 there were:
2 to 2.9 300,000
3 to 3.9 49,000
5 to 5.9 800
6 to 6.9 120
7 to 7.9 18
8 to 8.6 .2

In 2008 there were:
2 to 2.9 1,300,000
3 to 3.9 130,000
5 to 5.9 1,319
6 to 6.9 134
7 to 7.9 17
8 to 8.6 1

That is an increase of:
2 to 2.9 433%
3 to 3.9 265%
5 to 5.9 210%
6 to 6.9 165%
7 to 7.9
8 to 8.6 500%

There has never been a decade in history that even comes close to the quake activity in 2001-2008. This decade hasn’t finished yet and it has already increased by 408% over 1991-2000.

Famines will increase

Throughout history there was usually no more then 3 famines in the first 10 years of previous Centuries. However we’ve had 12 Famines in the first 8 years of the 21st Century.
Famine is something that affects only certain areas of the world today, right? Wrong! I am not a pollution activist, not a conservationist nor am I a fear monger. What I am is an ordinary person who has taken the time to look at what we are doing to our world from a common sense point of view while trying to prove whether or not Bible prophesy is relevant to our lives today because the Bible says in the last generation of man before Christ returns again there will be famines in diverse places and what I have found is startling.

Temperatures are going up around the world and in the 2003 heatwave that struck Europe over 35,000 people died.

Droughts in Darfur

Unprecedented large hurricanes

Increase in the number and strength of Tornadoes

Unprecedented floods around the world.

Earth’s weather affects the crop harvests around the world. For example the great Ural Sea. Once the largest body of fresh water in the world and now it’s a desert.

Great bodies of fresh water are drying up.

In 1950 the worldwide fish catch was 20 million tons, mostly small boats. With changing technology by the end of the 1980’s the worldwide catch was 86 million tons. With an estimated 27 million tons of fish caught, but unwanted fish thrown back dead. The fish catch is dropping now, but only because there are less fish to catch. The ocean sweeping-factory trawlers scoop up 400 tons of fish at a time and dump back an estimated 127 tons of dead unwanted sea life. Thanks to these trawlers 70% of the fish stocks are being strained beyond their ability to sustain commercial quantities of fish.
We are getting near the end.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

Jesus prophesied that in the Last Generation just before He returned Wars would increase. Mat 24:6.
[NKJ] MAT 24:37 "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
How was it in the days of Noah?
[NLT] GEN 6:5 Now the LORD observed the extent of the people's wickedness, and he saw that all their thoughts were consistently and totally evil.
[NLT] GEN 6:11 Now the earth had become corrupt in God's sight, and it was filled with violence.
[NLT] GEN 6:12 God observed all this corruption in the world, and he saw violence and depravity everywhere.

This sounds like our world today. Does anyone know where the Ark is being built this time? Oh that’s right our form of escape this time is called the Rapture. Will that be shortly or do we have a few hundred years to play with? Has the frequency of wars increased?

Sorry the graphs don't come out as clear here as they do in Word or Excel. In the past 5560 yrs. there have been 14, 531 wars with 600 million killed in them. Since 1900 there have been 129 wars which generated 175,270,000 deaths and counting. The frequency and ferocity of war is certainly increasing in this generation.

A Coming Storm

[NKJ] MAT 16:2 ..."When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red';
[NKJ] MAT 16:3 "and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
[NKJ] MAT 16:4 "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them and departed.

Jesus is plainly telling us through this that we need to learn the prophesies so we will know what is about to happen in God’s plan. All the signs were there in Prophesy when He came the first time. So there was no excuse for the Religious Leaders of His time to have not known what to look for. They knew enough to tell King Herod to look for the baby in Bethlehem, but they stopped there and didn’t pursue it any further, therefore most of them missed Him. Is the Church today missing the foretold signs as well? For the most part Yes!But if you’re reading this you won’t miss them.

Jesus said we should be able to understand prophecy as well as we understand the natural weather. A storm is coming and most of us don't realize it. For example is December 21, 2012 really the End of the World? Well the History Channel thinks it might be and they produced a program looking into that very thing and during the program they quote the following sources.

The Cimmerian Sybil of ancient Greece who predicted Jesus by the way and says his rule of peace will come in the 7th Millennium. The 7th Millennium is about to begin by the way.

The Aztec Calendar which happens to end on December 21, 2012

The IChing which is a Chinese financial forecaster and it says something very terrible will happen on December 21, 2012

A computer forecasting program called The Webbot Project also predicts nothing beyond December 21, 2012.

The prophets of the Hopi Indians also say the world will end around this date.

In the History Channel program they quoted these sources among others, these sources have been wrong before so why should anyone believe them now? Let’s see what the Bible has to say.

In Matthew chapter one it tells us that there was 42 generations from Abraham to Christ.
2160/42 = 52
Luke 3 tells us there were 77 generations from Adam to Christ.
4,000/77 = 52
This means that there are 52 years in a generation not 40 years as we've been taught. We also know that Jesus told us the gentiles would rule over Jerusalem until the Times of the Gentiles came to an end. Israel retook Jerusalem in the Six Day war of 1967. Now let's see what happens.
1967 + 52 = 2019 - 7 (for the 7 yrs of Tribulation) = 2012
Because of this confirmation from scripture we know that 2012 is a year to watch and although we can't predict His second coming we can certainly know the signs of the times. Jesus also said that Wars would increase in the Last Days so lets see about this next time.
