A Coming Storm

[NKJ] MAT 16:2 ..."When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red';
[NKJ] MAT 16:3 "and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
[NKJ] MAT 16:4 "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them and departed.

Jesus is plainly telling us through this that we need to learn the prophesies so we will know what is about to happen in God’s plan. All the signs were there in Prophesy when He came the first time. So there was no excuse for the Religious Leaders of His time to have not known what to look for. They knew enough to tell King Herod to look for the baby in Bethlehem, but they stopped there and didn’t pursue it any further, therefore most of them missed Him. Is the Church today missing the foretold signs as well? For the most part Yes!But if you’re reading this you won’t miss them.

Jesus said we should be able to understand prophecy as well as we understand the natural weather. A storm is coming and most of us don't realize it. For example is December 21, 2012 really the End of the World? Well the History Channel thinks it might be and they produced a program looking into that very thing and during the program they quote the following sources.

The Cimmerian Sybil of ancient Greece who predicted Jesus by the way and says his rule of peace will come in the 7th Millennium. The 7th Millennium is about to begin by the way.

The Aztec Calendar which happens to end on December 21, 2012

The IChing which is a Chinese financial forecaster and it says something very terrible will happen on December 21, 2012

A computer forecasting program called The Webbot Project also predicts nothing beyond December 21, 2012.

The prophets of the Hopi Indians also say the world will end around this date.

In the History Channel program they quoted these sources among others, these sources have been wrong before so why should anyone believe them now? Let’s see what the Bible has to say.

In Matthew chapter one it tells us that there was 42 generations from Abraham to Christ.
2160/42 = 52
Luke 3 tells us there were 77 generations from Adam to Christ.
4,000/77 = 52
This means that there are 52 years in a generation not 40 years as we've been taught. We also know that Jesus told us the gentiles would rule over Jerusalem until the Times of the Gentiles came to an end. Israel retook Jerusalem in the Six Day war of 1967. Now let's see what happens.
1967 + 52 = 2019 - 7 (for the 7 yrs of Tribulation) = 2012
Because of this confirmation from scripture we know that 2012 is a year to watch and although we can't predict His second coming we can certainly know the signs of the times. Jesus also said that Wars would increase in the Last Days so lets see about this next time.
